Detroit Lions coach drops a shocking social media message to fans

In the run-up to the 2024 regular season, the Detroit Lions should keep an eye on Jahmyr Gibbs’ worrying situation. After surprising everyone by selecting the standout player from Alabama with the No. 12 pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, the Lions have a lot riding on Gibbs.

After putting the Lions’ trust in him, Gibbs ran for 945 yards and ten touchdowns in the previous season. In addition, he added one touchdown reception and 316 receiving yards. The previous season, Gibbs’ hamstring injury kept him out of two games. Gibbs made a significant contribution in each of the three postseason games after his brief absence and did not miss another regular season game.

Lions' Coach Dan Campbell Is True Blue, Right Down To His Kneecaps

During OTAs, Lions head coach Dan Campbell made an upsetting statement regarding Gibbs’ health. He said that in addition to the hamstring injury he sustained during the previous season, Gibbs is not practicing at the required minicamp because of a soft-tissue injury.

Luckily for Gibbs and the Lions, the injury occurred during the offseason. By taking it easy, Gibbs can prevent the injury from getting much worse. The Lions must be worried that Gibbs may sustain another soft-tissue injury, though. They may need to keep an eye on this injury for the duration of Gibbs’ team tenure.
