BALTIMORE — They formed an alliance while standing next to one other.
They agreed to go back to the same stadium and locker room together in order to get what they had left behind.
Even though the Baltimore Ravens season was only getting started, John Harbaugh and his team were already preparing for Miami to be the team’s destination. Additionally, they left a football behind as a memento of their dedication.
The Ravens gathered in the visitors locker room at Hard Rock Stadium following their Week 1 beating of the Dolphins, a nearly 50-point rout in their season opener on September 8th, and said, “We’re going to come back here.” And head equipment manager William Sheridan stood on a table and quickly concealed in the excitement of their first victory.
The football’s precise location is only known to individuals within the Ravens’ inner circle. However, Ravens players revealed to Yahoo Sports how committed they were to going back to Miami in the days before their AFC divisional matchup with the Tennessee Titans on Saturday.
Their four-month assignment started last month.
They had no idea that their journey would come to an abrupt and spectacular end.
