Florida State is nearing the halfway point of spring practice. With the amount of physicality and level of competition that the Seminoles are bringing to the field, injuries are bound to pop up. It is football, after all.
Following Thursday’s practice, head coach Mike Norvell informed the media that two more players won’t be available for the rest of spring. Sophomore wide receiver Destyn Hill and redshirt sophomore tight end Jerrale Powers are both working their way back from injuries. Hill went down in a recent practice and Norvell didn’t offer clarification on the exact ailment that he’s dealing with.
It’s an unfortunate situation as Hill had been one of Florida State’s more consistent wide receivers to this point. He was popping up with one to two big plays a practice while bringing plenty of energy to the field.
“I do have one announcement. Destyn Hill is going to be the rest of the spring, he was injured the other day so he’ll be out. Jerrale Powers will be the other that’s kind of for sure going to be out for the rest of spring practice,” Norvell said on Thursday.
