A BEAUTIFUL NOISE is a true narrative that tells the inspiring tale of how a young Brooklynite became a chart-topping, crowd-pleasing American rock icon. It was written in conjunction with Neil Diamond. Neil Diamond’s story was meant to shine on Broadway and then take to the road with 120 million albums sold, a catalog of timeless hits like “America,” “Forever in Blue Jeans,” and “Sweet Caroline,” an induction into the Songwriters and Rock and Roll Halls of Fame, a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award, and sold-out shows all over the world that made him bigger than Elvis.
Neil Diamond remarked, “Some of my most exciting nights have been while I was on tour, bringing my music to audiences across the world.” It is a privilege to have A BEAUTIFUL NOISE go on tour, and I can’t wait for people to see this play all around North America. As much as I have enjoyed it, I hope they do too.
Nick Fradiani, who has been portraying the part on Broadway since October 2023, will play “Neil Diamond – Then” in the nationwide tour. After taking home the “American Idol” crown in 2015, he went on to release his debut album “Hurricane” in 2016, which included the popular tune “Beautiful Life.” In 2022, Fradiani’s second solo album, “Past My Past,” was made available. A later time will be provided for additional casting.

Good times have never seemed better as A BEAUTIFUL NOISE: THE Neil Diamond Musical, which debuted at Playhouse Square in October 2024 in Cleveland, follows a triumphant Broadway run.

Tony Award winner Michael Mayer (Spring Awakening, Hedwig and the Angry Inch), Olivier Award winner Steven Hoggett (Once, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child), and four-time Academy Award nominee Anthony McCarten (Bohemian Rhapsody, The Two Popes) are the directors and choreographers of A BEAUTIFUL NOISE: THE Neil Diamond Musical.
Tony Award winner David Rockwell (scenic design), Tony Award nominee Emilio Sosa (costume design), four-time Tony Award winner Kevin Adams (lighting design), Tony Award winner Jessica Paz (sound design), and Luc Verschueren (hair and wig design) make up the design team for A BEAUTIFUL NOISE: THE Neil Diamond MUSICAL on Broadway. Sonny Paladino oversaw the music supervision and arrangements for the production; Brian Usifer handled the incidental and dance music arrangements; AnnMarie Milazzo designed the vocals; and Bob Gaudio, Sonny Paladino, and Brian Usifer orchestrated the pieces. Jim Carnahan, CSA (casting), Kathy Fabian (properties designer), and Jamie Harrison (illusion consultant) are also on the team.
Travis Blackwell and Stacy N. Taylor lead the stage management team for the Neil Diamond musical tour, A BEAUTIFUL NOISE. Yasmine Lee is the associate choreographer, and Austin Regan is the associate director of A BEAUTIFUL NOISE. Erik Birkeland and Heather Moss make up the company’s management team.
