Detroit Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown had a bounce-back performance Sunday despite the team’s 20-16 loss to the Buccaneers. The All-Pro receiver caught 11 passes for 119 yards. That coming after catching just three passes for 13 yards in the win last week over the Rams.
It was even more impressive for St. Brown considering he was dealing with an injury that had trainers come out to attend to him on the field twice.
“No, he’s alright. I don’t think it’s anything long-term, so that’s good news,” Lions head
It was the 16th career 100-yard receiving game for St. Brown, which ties Terry Barr for the fourth most 100-yard receiving games in franchise history.
The Lions had a couple other injury issues pop up during the game. Linebacker Alex Anzalone left the game to be evaluated for a concussion and was eventually downgraded to out. He had four tackles before he left the game.
Rookie cornerback Ennis Rakestraw Jr. was a curious add to the inactive list 90 minutes before the game Sunday after not being listed on the injury report all week. It turns out he injured himself in pregame warmups.
It happened in pregame,” Campbell said. “It was just a little hamstring, I don’t know. That happened literally four minutes before we had to turn in the inactives, so we were up against the clock.”
