Kadyn Proctor enters the transfer portal
The transfer portal exodus continues for the Alabama Football team as starting left tackle Kadyn Proctor has entered the transfer portal. Proctor was the top offensive tackle recruit in the 2023 recruiting class and the fifth-ranked prospect overall. The freshman started every game this season for the Alabama Football team at left tackle.
While Proctor had his struggles this season sharing time at tackle with Elijah Pritchett, he did develop as the year progressed with Left Tackle being one of the hardest positions for a true freshman to play. Losing a true freshman who earned valuable reps certainly hurts but, after allowing 48 sacks in 2023 the offensive line was certainly going to undergo changes. According to Pro Football Focus Kadyn Proctor was responsible for 32.8% of the pressures on Jalen Milroe.
The replacement for Kadyn Proctor will most likely be either Elijah Pritchett or Miles McVay with the other player likely slotting in at right tackle. Incoming transfer Naquil Betrand from Texas A&M will also compete for a starting role if he decides to stay.
