Pittsburgh Steelers announces the return of a key player

Pittsburgh Steelers’ next opponent loses key starter to injury

The New York Jets will be without safety Chuck Clark for their upcoming game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, forcing them to lose a key starter. Clark suffered the injury against the Buffalo Bills on Monday Night Football and was replaced by Ashtyn Davis, who is a valuable special teamer but struggled to consistently get going in run defense.

The Jets could turn to safety Jalen Mills, who is on the Jets practice squad and has experience playing both safety and cornerba

ck.

Clark signed with the Jets in 2023 after being let go by the Baltimore Ravens, where he had plenty of experience playing the Steelers. However, he missed all of 2023 after suffering a torn ACL during OTAs.

In six games this season, Clark has 32 tackles, one tackle for loss, and three pressures. Since the Jets do have blitz packages that often use their slot cornerback and safeties, that will be a component of who will replace Clark. Davis is the favorite on the team for now, but that could be a spot the Steelers try to attack.
