Job Title: Dental Patient Referral Coordinator

As a Referral Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in the healthcare system by facilitating patient referrals to specialists and other healthcare providers. You will ensure that patients receive the necessary care promptly and efficiently.
Duties:
– Coordinate patient referrals to specialists, diagnostic facilities, and other healthcare providers
– Verify insurance coverage and obtain any necessary authorizations for referrals
– Communicate with patients to provide information about referrals and appointments
– Maintain accurate and up-to-date referral records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
– Collaborate with medical staff to ensure appropriate referrals are made based on patient needs
– Utilize medical terminology, ICD-10 coding, and knowledge of medical records to process referrals effectively.
