In a significant recruiting victory, the Ole Miss men’s basketball program has secured a commitment from Tylis Jordan, a highly-touted power forward in the 2025 class. Jordan, standing at 6-foot-9 and weighing 210 pounds, is a consensus top-100 recruit, with rankings as high as No. 24 nationally by On3. He chose the Rebels over several prominent programs, including Alabama, Auburn, Georgia Tech, LSU, and Tennessee.
Jordan’s decision to join Ole Miss is a testament to head coach Chris Beard’s recruiting prowess and the program’s upward trajectory. Jordan expressed his confidence in the coaching staff and their vision for his development, stating, “I trusted the coaching staff because they stayed consistent the entire time and were always clear about their vision and plans for me. I felt like that plan will get me to the next level.”
During his junior season at Shiloh High School in Snellville, Georgia, Jordan showcased his versatility and athleticism, averaging 21.3 points, 10.3 rebounds, 1.4 blocks, and 1.1 steals per game. His performance was instrumental in leading Shiloh to a commendable 23-5 record.
