Birmingham City will be without four players when they face Crawley Town on Monday evening in their last League One match before Christmas.
Long-term absentees Alfons Sampsted, Scott Wright and Emil Hansson won’t be ready until the New Year according to Chris Davies, while Alex Cochrane hasn’t been able to train fully due to a laceration in his foot. Cochrane’s place in the XI has been adequately filled by Lee Buchanan.
They are all building up a little bit of training but whether they get back into games before the New Year, I’m not too sure about that, but they are all close as such and moving in the right direction,” Davies said of Sampsted, Wright and Hansson. “They are not sat in the treatment room and not going outside
decisions I’m pleased I made’
On Cochrane, Davies added: “He’s another one who is able to do a little bit more outside, some controlled training and he’s building up day by day. Alex is fully fit as such, it’s just the cut that he’s had on his foot but he’ll be able to go again within a few days.”
