The majority of MLB contenders have been occupied searching for pivotal actions that can aid their club in the closing stages of the season. However, the Atlanta Braves, the Philadelphia Phillies’ primary division rivals, recently took a risky but obviously desperate action.
According to Mark Bowman of MLB.com, the Braves signed veteran Eddie Rosario to a minor league contract last week. The purported purpose of the relocation was to give the company more valuable insurance depth. But Rosario’s contract was chosen right away, and on Monday he was called up to the major league team. What was even more unexpected was that he was started in the opening lineup against the Arizona Diamondbacks right away.

It may seem like a wise decision for Atlanta. Ultimately, during Rosario’s three-year tenure with the Braves from 2021 to 2023, he played a significant role in the team’s 2021 World Series victory and was named NLCS MVP. That was the final time Rosario wore a Braves uniform.
