Atlanta Braves could probably be a fighter cause they never felt a feeling of comfort like this

On a day off, the Braves want to secure a victory over Allan Winans’ previous team.
Because of bad weather moving throughout the Southeast, the third game of the series between the Atlanta Braves and the New York Mets had to be postponed. The new date of that matchup was set for September 26 in Atlanta.

Atlanta Braves probable pitchers and starting lineups vs. New York Mets, April 11

Atlanta’s goal is to win the series finale so they can enjoy a nice flight to Miami and start their next road trip. Before returning home, the Braves will play the Marlins and Astros.

With a two-game advantage over the Phillies, the team is currently 7-3 and leading the division. That success in 2024 has mostly been attributed to their potent offensive, which should continue on Thursday afternoon.

Probable starting pitchers

For the Atlanta Braves, Allan Winans gets the start against the New York Mets, marking his third career start. Winans was formerly affiliated with the Mets prior to the Braves selecting him in the Rule 5 Draft. In 2024, he made two appearances against New York. In the first, he pitched seven innings and recorded nine strikeouts; in the second, he went just 4.1 innings and gave up seven earned runs.
In 2024, Winans made just one start with the Gwinnett Stripers, pitching 5.2 innings. He gave up one walk, five strikeouts, and two runs on six hits. I hope he brings that excellent work to today’s Truist Park debut.

Winans will go up against Jose Quintana, who is trying to win for the first time this year. Because he missed the majority of 2023 due to injury, Quintana hasn’t enjoyed his time with the Mets. He had an ERA of 3.57 through 75.2 innings with 24 walks and 60 strikeouts when he did pitch, and his results were generally solid. In 2024, he has made two starts and given up three runs on eleven hits, six walks, and eight strikeouts.

In two games in 2023, the Atlanta offense had a.302 combined average. Since they’ve had the most success against Quintana, expect Ozzie Albies and Marcell Ozuna to have a successful day at the plate. Albies is 6-10 (.600 average) with two HR and three RBI, while Ozuna is 10-20 (.455) with one HR and seven RBI.
