New Rugged Tab Active Tablet and Xcover7 Case: Samsung Releases New Galaxy Pack

Amidst the eager anticipation for Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S24 flagships this month, the tech giant pleasantly surprised everyone by unveiling two robust devices. Let’s welcome the rugged Galaxy XCover7 smartphone and the Galaxy Tab Active5 tablet.

These new devices from Samsung boast Android 14 which is the Original Android Version the mother company built it with, it also comes with a strong 5G connectivity, NFC facilitating cashless payments, Samsung Knox Vault ensuring robust data protection, and a customizable button for quick access, which is convenient in challenging conditions.

The Latest Samsung Galaxy Tab Active5

The tablet offers an 8-inch LCD screen with a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz and, like its smartphone counterpart, boasts enhanced touch sensitivity. Fully Equipped with the latest design of13 MP rear camera and it also boast a god front facing camera of 5 MP, it runs on an unnamed 5 nm chipset.

Memory options include 6/128 GB or 8/256 GB configurations, with both variants supporting SD card slot expansion of up to 1TB. The IP68-certified tablet supports an S Pen, but this accessory comes in a separate protective case as it does not integrate directly into the tablet’s body.

The Tab Active5 also holds MIL-STD-810H certification, ensuring resilience against extreme conditions like altitude, humidity, immersion, salt fog, dust, vibrations, and drops. However, it employs the slightly older Gorilla Glass 5 for its screen protection.

Physical keys are in the bottom bezel, with the home key integrating a built-in fingerprint scanner. The tablet houses a 5,050 mAh battery, which can also be removed, allowing the device to function without the battery.

The New Samsung Galaxy XCover7

The Samsung Galaxy XCover7 showcases a 6.6-inch LCD screen with Full HD+ resolution, designed explicitly with increased touch sensitivity to function seamlessly with gloves up to 2 mm thick and in wet environments. Samsung typically remains tight-lipped about the specific chipset within their phones. However, it’s known that the Galaxy XCover7 operates on a 6nm processor with an octa-core CPU.

They feature a single 50 MP rear camera and a 5 MP front-facing camera for stills, 6 GB RAM can take on heavy task and 128 GB of storage expandable via microSD cards. Noteworthy features include a 3.5 mm audio jack and Dolby Atmos sound technology.

The standout feature of the Galaxy XCover7 lies in its durability, meeting the IP68 and MIL-STD-810H standards. Gorilla Glass Victus+ shields its screen, and the 4,050 mAh battery is removable.

The No Battery Mode is an innovative feature that allows the device to function without a battery when connected via the USB-C port. This proves incredibly convenient for scenarios like kiosks, cars, or continuous charging situations, preserving the cell and preventing excess heat emission.

The Samsung Galaxy XCover7 and Galaxy Tab Active5 are set to hit the market this month, though specific pricing details are yet to be confirmed.
