Samsung Galaxy 23 Series Now Getting Stable One UI 6 With Android 14 Updates

Samsung successfully delivered the One UI 6 update in October, just before the deadline. The new firmware, which includes Android 14 and the latest security patch of October 1, is now available worldwide for the Galaxy S23 Ultra, Galaxy S23, and Galaxy S23+.

The update is quite large, with a size of about 3 GB, but it comes with a lot of enhancements and new features. One of the most noticeable changes is the new design, which has a new default font, new icons, more streamlined icon labels, and an option to customize the lock screen clock size and position.

The Quick Panel has also been redesigned with a new button layout. The Wi-Fi and Bluetooth buttons are now at the top, followed by the other quick toggles. The brightness slider has been moved to the bottom for easier access.

One UI 6 also introduces the new Studio video player, which is a powerful video editing tool. You need to launch the Gallery app first and enable it from there. It allows you to create video projects with various options, but it is limited to FHD resolution for now.

Other new features include the new weather widget, which shows more information and animations, the new look for Samsung Health (which was already available for users on Android 13), the smarter Airplane mode (which will not turn off Wi-Fi and Bluetooth), the Battery setting menu, which has been relocated next to Display, and many more.

If you have a Galaxy S23 phone, you should check for the update now. Samsung is planning to expand the rollout to the S23 series today and then to a long list of other devices in the next weeks and months.
